Give yourself the gift of wellbeing in our nature and hiking yoga retreat where the Parque Natural Sierra de Grazalema rises from quiet rural byways like an apparition, the natural world takes over. Great buttresses of rock silhouetted against the clouds soar above a forested landscape tinged with green even when the rest of Andalucía turns yellow under a baking summer sun. A Unesco Biosphere reserve since 1977, according to BBC Travel, the best place to hike in Andalucia.

Two whitewashed villages serve as gateways to our yoga retreat center. Zahara de la Sierra is one of Andalucía's most striking villages, sashaying up a craggy, castletopped peak in the park's northern reaches. And El Gastor,also known as the Balcony of the Andalusian White Villages, its narrow passes connecting the villages lead over high mountain passes, drawing near to some of Spain's prettiest mountain scenery.

Enjoy beautiful accommodation surrounded by nature. Cool off after a hike in the mountains at our five outdoor pools with views of the sierra. Fresh vegetarian meals will be cooked for you daily. You can savour local organic produce in delicious Mediterranean dishes. You will practice a variety of Yoga styles with different instructors immersed in the peace of nature

Arrival Day. Sunday: Pick up 15:30 Ronda Train station.
Friday: Departure day at 12:00

  • 8:00- 09:30 Energizing Yoga class.
  • 09:00-10:30 Breakfast.
  • 10:00-11:00 Gentle Yoga Clas.
  • 11:30-13:30 Free time, hiking tour or Workshop.
  • 14:00-15:00 Lunch or Hiking Picnic.
  • 15:00-18:00 Free time, hiking tour or Workshop.
  • 18:00-19:15 Energizing yoga Class.
  • 19:15- 20:15 Yin Yoga or Restorative yoga class.
  • 20:30 Dinner.

LOCATION

The retreat is located at 11687 El Gastor, Cádiz, Spain. This is 1h 20 mins from Jerez airport, 1h 30 mins from Sevilla airport, or 1h 30 mins from Malaga airport.

If you wish to have an airport transfer from Malaga we are happy to organise for you both pick up and drop off in time for your flight after the retreat. You can also get to the house via train or bus to Ronda. Both buses and trains leave Malaga or Sevilla city regularly throughout the day and we can come pick you up from the bus/train station in Ronda.

Nora Draganova

Originally from Bulgaria, living in London, UK. In addition to teaching and practicing traditional Hatha yoga, Nora is a qualified Ayurvedic yoga massage therapist, with a degree in Food Studies and Nutrition.

Her yoga journey began over 10 years ago after moving to the UK, where she regularly participated in various yoga and meditation classes and workshops. Following years of dedicated practice and a growing passion to help and inspire others towards living a healthier and more fulfilled way of life, Nora completed Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga in London, as well as a 200-hour Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India. Since qualifying she has taught a number of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga classes aimed at all levels.

As a yoga teacher, Nora encourages growth on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level, and draws inspiration from various philosophical and spiritual disciplines.

Her teaching incorporates asana (physical postures) practice with modification and progression options to suit individual abilities, as well as various pranayama (breathing) and relaxation techniques.

“Yoga is more than asana (physical poses) practice – it’s a way of life. It allows us to dig deeper into our very consciousness and discover that which is often buried beneath many superficial layers – our inner nature. Regular practice can help to cultivate qualities such as patience, sense of calm, self-love and respect, as well as kindness and compassion towards others.”

Since an early age, Nora developed a strong interest in health and well-being on all levels and in their promotion through healthy diet, physical activity and variety of alternative therapies.

She performed professional Latin American and Ballroom dancing for more than 7 years and found the expression of ideas and emotions through movement fascinating and stimulating.

Later on, her strong interest in diet and health encouraged her to select a degree in Food Studies and Nutrition at the University of Leeds. This further expanded her understanding on the role of diet in the prevention and treatment of diseases and the maintenance of optimum health.

Inspired by the philosophy of yoga and amazed by the positive impact the practice had on her personal life and overall well-being, Nora began to study the subject of yoga and its many applications in more depth.

“The beauty of yoga is that it’s an experience unique for every individual. Essentially, it’s your own personal journey towards self-discovery and realization.”

She enjoys teaching those that are new to yoga as well participants that are more experienced and are looking to further develop their practice.

“Yoga encourages awareness on a deeper level and a sense of balance both on and off your mat. A yoga retreat is a wonderful opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the practice, without the external distractions of your busy everyday life. The aim is to relax, reflect and be fully present in the moment. It's also a good opportunity to meet new people and make valuable connections for the future.”
