Delight in beach and yoga holidays in Valencia on the Eastern Coast of Spain. Layered in history since it's founding in the Roman era, Valencia captures attention with it's blissfully sunny climate, fragrant scent of orange trees, soft sand beaches and its culture-packed old town. From the historically rich city center with quaint Medieval Era streets to the impressively modern City of Arts and Sciences with the largest Aquarium in Europe, a visitor to this city is dazzled by the variety of attractions.
Our retreat center is located 1 kilometer from the beach in a small seaside town outside of Valencia City. Practice yoga in the large shala with natural light and high ceilings. With four classes daily, learn from different teachers, experience different yoga styles for all levels and have the opportunity to deepen your practice and escalate your health.
Take pleasure in the open spaces and quiet spots to lounge in the garden patios, take a dip in swimming pool after spending time at the beach and unwind in the on-site spa with a jacuzzi and dry sauna. Rooms have ensuite bathrooms, air conditioners and heaters and there is wifi throughout the retreat center.

THE OLD CITY
While on your yoga retreat, Valencia city is close and wonderful to visit. Spend an evening in the old town for a night out where you can experience the nightlife of Spain, nibbling tapas and get the chance to see local flamenco dancers. Enjoy the colorful street art, the vibrant central market, trendy little shops and boutiques, live music and the mix of Gothic, Baroque and Modernist constructions. Take a day trip to the City of Arts and Sciences and the awe-inspiring Oceanographic.
BEACH DAYS
After morning meditation, yoga, and breakfast, grab your day pack and and head to the Sea. Soak up the warmth of the Spanish sun on the beach while reclining in a lounge chair near the shade the of umbrellas. Take a dip in the clear blue Mediterranean Sea and let any stresses melt away. Enjoy a cold beverage in the shade of a chiringuito, a beach cafe, directly on the beach! Finally, return to the retreat center in time for a relaxing yoga class and dinner. The beach is 1 kilometer from the retreat center, there will be a daily shuttle or you can walk.
LOCATION
The retreat center is located next to the road in a coastal town, 10 minutes from the beach, 45 minutes from the Valencia Airport and 1 hour 30 minutes from the Alicante Airport .
If you wish to have an airport transfer from Alicante or Valencia we are happy to organize both your pick up and drop off in time for your flight after the retreat. If you do not use our organized shuttle transportations to/from the retreat center we can arrange a taxi for you for your travels.

Harijati Darmawan
Harijati was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. During her medical studies – she’s graduated as a doctor at the Atma Jaya University - she already had a strong interest in physical education. That is why she also followed a sports education in parallel to her study. Afterward, she always combined her work as a professional in the medical sector by giving personal training and group classes.
In 2003 Harijati moved to Belgium and followed several additional studies, such as Nutritional Sciences at the University of Ghent and Master in the management of health data at the VUB. Since then she has been working as Clinical Data Manager in the clinical research in the pharmaceutical industry.
As with her medical career, Harijati puts a lot of effort to gain thorough training for her career as a professional sports instructor. This is the reason why she chose to follow the Pilates Teacher Training Course via Peak Pilates in 2009, which is one of the leading institutes where the ‘classical system of Pilates’ is taught. Currently, she has level 3 (advanced) Pilates teacher certification.
In 2014 Harijati completed the 200 hours full-immersion Teacher Training Course at YogaLife, which is recognized by the Yoga Alliance. She soon discovered that Pilates and Yoga have a lot of similarities in both disciplines: synchronizing breath and movement to improve strength and flexibility. Pilates puts emphasize on ‘core strength’ which is also needed in doing Yoga asanas. The advantages of both disciplines also extend outside the class to improve daily life activities. Harijati teaches Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga.
